In the last couple of weeks, this little girl has taken independence to a whole new level. The girl that hung right by me at the park and took my hand wherever she went has started running of, happy as a clam, not a care in the world, exploring everything around her.
It's a fine line - letting them roam while keeping them safe - and I know this is just the tiniest tip of the iceberg. But I figure if my job is to grow her wings while spreading her roots, I might as well start now.
