Lego lover

Fun fact about me: I love Legos. Not the kind where you are supposed to build something specific, but the kind where you dump a bunch of them out and just build whatever pops in your head. I could sit and play with them for hours.
Ellie got some Duplo blocks for Christmas and we decided to bust them out this week. She is OBSESSED! The first day we opened them she and I sat for over an hour, just building, knocking down, and pretending. It was pure bliss. She loves the little people that came with the set and especially loves putting them "een" the window and/or door. She is also a fan of the car.
My favorite part was when I threw some pieces together and said "Ellie look! It's an airplane!" and she immediately grabbed it and, complete with airplane noise, flew it around her head.
This. This is what I hope for her childhood. Creativity, imagination, and pure JOY.
