We're FINALLY walking. Still not all the time, but many times throughout the day she'll just stand up and walk where she wants to go. Amazing!
The park has become so fun - she loves the little kids jungle gym area, furiously crawling up the stairs with her first stop usually the "dine-soars!" (some flip around tiles with dinosaurs on them at the top of said jungle gym). It's then "bye bye dine-soars" and off to the other end for some solo sliding (new in just the last week or so- and yes, moms hand is still at the bottom to grab if needed).
On Mother's Day (one day shy of 17 months) she walked in the sand! Without prompting! I'm telling you we're making strides.
This nugget talks like it's nobody's business. So many moms of toddlers have commented on it/ asked her age after hearing her, and I have to say I'm even still astounded most days. Full phrases (like happy Mother's Day!"), calling out what in our house belong to whom ("Ellie shoes!" "Daddy chap-steek!" "Mama coffee!" "Penny wawa!"), and naming things that no 17 month old should know (robot, ballerina, helicopter vs airplane, ocean vs pool, reciting song lyrics randomly in the morning from the regulars in music class, basically every animal and its corresponding noise) - there are tons more that I can't think of now that I'm putting finger to phone.
Coloring is her newest novel activity and she's still a big fan of bubbles.
